Youth is Wasted on the Young: A Roundtable Poetry Reading and Discussion

22 March, Thursday: Woodlands Regional Library, Programme Zone, L1

7.30pm - 9.00pm

What does it mean to be a young poet in career-driven Singapore? 5 poets weigh in on whether their youth is a detriment to their writing, whether they are burdened by the representing Singapore in their works. They will be reading from their collections, anthologies and new works.

This will be followed by a round table discussion with each other and with the audience. Trust us, this is #singlitftw. Featured poets include spoken word poet Max Pasakorn, two-time winner of the Love @ the Gallery Love Poetry Competition Iain Lim, Samuel Caleb Wee (Co-Editor of This is How You Walk on the Moon) and Topaz Winters (Poems for the Sound of the Sky Before Thunder, Editor-in- Chief of Half Mystic).

Join young poets as well as poets from the National Poetry Competition 2017 in this roundtable meeting and discussion moderated by Crispin Rodrigues.
Poets in attendance to be confirmed.
